COVID-19: Nigeria confirms 1,544 new cases, total now 97,478l

Abuja (Sundiata Post) – Nigeria has recorded 1,544 fresh cases of #COVID-19 on Friday, bringing the total confirmed cases in the country to 97,478, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control reported.

The report released via the agency’s twitter handle stated that the fresh cases were recorded from 21 states of the federation including the FCT as follows:

Kano-29
Ogun-21
Delta-19
Sokoto-16
Akwa Ibom-11
Ebonyi-11

Bauchi-8
Kebbi-8
Katrina-2
Taraba-1

According to the NCDC, a total of 78,552 cases have been discharged from the various isolation facilities across the country while 1,342 had so far been lost to COVID-19 related ailment since the index case was recorded in Nigeria on February 27, 2020.
