Abuja (Sundiata Post) – Africa’s most populous nation – Nigeria has recorded 1,270 new cases of COVID-19, its Centre for Disease Control said on Monday.
The report released via NCDC’s twitter handle stated that the fresh infections were recorded from 22 states including the FCT.
Lagos State led the infection table with 435 cases followed by FCT with 234 while Oyo came third with 103.
Other states where infections were recorded in heirachical sequence are;
Plateau-86; Rivers-71; Enugu-51; Nasarawa-41; Delta and Edo-39; Osun-33; Niger-31;
Sokoto-23; Ondo-16; Taraba-13; Ebonyi-12;
Kano-10; Abia-9; Bayelsa-8; Bauchi-7; Imo-5;
Katsina-3 and Gombe-1.
