Abuja (Sundiata Post) – The Nigeria’s COVID- 19 related death toll hit 1,048 on Thursday night even as 125 fresh cases of the novel virus were confirmed across the country, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has reported.
According to the report released via it’s twitter handle account, NCDC said the total confirmed cases have risen to 54,588 while 42,627 patients have been treated, recovered and discharged from different isolation facilities across the country.
The health agency further informed that the 125 fresh cases was recorded from 13 states with Lagos State displacing Plateau state to assume the lead.
The states that accounted for the fresh cases are as follow:

Kwara-8
Ondo-7
Delta-4
Anambra-3
Oyo-3
Edo-2
Ogun-2
Osun-2
