Abuja (Sundiata Post) – The total confirmed COVID-19 cases in Nigeria has risen to 54,008 as the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control on Monday recorded 143 fresh infections.
Announcing via it’s twitter handle, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) said Plateau recorded 35 new cases; Kaduna, 21; Lagos, 19; Federal Capital Territory (FCT), 13; Ebonyi, 9; Adamawa, Enugu and Katsina, 7 each; Edo 6; Kwara 5; Osun 3; Anambra, Niger, Ogun and Kano, 2 each; while Benue, Borno and Sokoto recorded 1 infection each.
It said: “So far, 54,008 cases of COVID-19 have been recorded while 41,638 patients have been discharged and 1,013 persons died of the novel virus pandemic.
