Abuja (Sundiata Post) – The total confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria exceeded 100,000 with the additional 1,024 fresh infections recorded on Sunday, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has said.
The report released by the health agency via it’s twitter account has it that Lagos State alone recorded 653 fresh infections in the day under review while the other 16 states (including the FCT) where new cases were reported accounted for the remaining 371 cases as follows:

Adamawa-26
Kaduna-22

Ogun-16

Kano-9

Ekiti-5

According to the report, the total confirmed cases have risen to 100,087 out of which
80,030 patients have been treated and discharged from various isolation facilities in Nigeria.
The NCDC further added that 1,358 lives had been lost to COVID-19 related complications since the index case was reported in February 2020 in the country.
