Lagos – The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Mr Fatai Owoseni, on Monday assured intending participants and residents of safety in the coming Lagos International Trade-Fair.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the Lagos International Trade Fair will begin on Nov. 6 at Tafawa Balewa Square, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Joseph Offor, said that the command was well prepared to make sure the Trade Fair was free of violence.
“We are very prepared, the Security Committee of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce has met with the Commissioner of Police and we have rolled out our plans.[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”70560″]
“They have told us what they needed from us and we have also advised them on what to do to make sure that there will be no incident during the trade fair.
“They also told us that some foreign exhibitors are coming and that some certain security arrangements are to be made and we have promised them that we will do that.
“On our own, we have also provided them with some security tips to adopt in preparation and during the Trade Fair.
“A police officer of Chief Superintendent rank has been detailed to work with the security committee of the trade fair and that is going on right now,’’ Offor said.
NAN reports that the 10-day event will hold in three venues — Tafawa Balewa Square, Freedom Park and Muson Centre, Onikan.
