ABUJA – The Commissioner of Police in the FCT, Mr Wilson Inalegwu, has urged religious leaders in the territory to work with the police in preventing crime.

A statement issued by the command’s spokesman, ASP Anjuguri Manzah, on Friday said that the commissioner made the appeal when he visited the FCT Forum of Imams.
The statement also said the commission used the opportunity to seek the cooperation of the religious leader in ensuring peaceful conduct of the upcoming general elections in the FCT.
It assured the Imams that the command was ready to partner with them, well meaningful individuals and groups in tackling crime in the territory.
The Chairman of the forum, Sheikh Tajudeen Bello, commended the commissioner for the visit and assured him of the cooperation of the forum.
Bellow also assured him that they were ready to contribute their quota in the efforts to check crime and ensure peace in the territory. (NAN)
