KADUNA (Sundiata Post) – Mr Aliyu Alkali has taken over as the new Comptroller of the Nigeria Customs Service, Federal Operations Unit (FOU) Zone B, Kaduna.
He succeeded Mr Ahmadu Shuaibu, who officially handed over the reins during a ceremony held at Kangiwa House on Wednesday in Kaduna.
The handover was confirmed in a statement signed by CSC Saidu Nuruddeen, the Public Relations Officer of FOU Zone B, Kaduna.
According to him,the event was attended by dignitaries, retired and serving officers of the unit.
In his valedictory speech, Shuaibu expressed gratitude for a successful tenure, which he described as a “celebration of freedom.”
Reflecting on his one year of service in the zone, he thanked the Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adeniyi, and the management team for the opportunity to serve.
He also called on the officers to give his successor the same level of support and cooperation he enjoyed.
On his part, Alkali expressed appreciation for the trust placed in him and acknowledged the weight of the responsibility ahead.
He assured the officers and stakeholders of his commitment to maintaining professionalism and peace in operations across the zone.(NAN)
