LAGOS – The Western Marine Command of Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) impounded goods valued at N13.3 million between January and April.
Mrs Ngozi Okpara, the Public Relations Officer of the Command, disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos on Friday.
She said that the command seized goods valued at N16 million in the first quarter of 2013.
In a breakdown, Okpara said the seizures recorded in 2014 included 769 bags of rice and 715 cartons of poultry products.
According to her, most of the seized items were intercepted at different locations in Idiroko and Badagry.
She said that no suspect was arrested in connection with the seizures. (NAN)
