Dakingari tasks Kebbi adults on PAYE

BIRNIN KEBBI – Gov. Saidu Dakingari, on Wednesday called on all taxable adults in the state to obtain the new tax Pay-As-You-Earn (PAYE) identification number.

Dakingari, who received his PAYE number in Birnin Kebbi on Wednesday, also called on the Board of Internal Revenue to ensure that all taxable adults were provided with their PAYE numbers.

He also advised the revenue board to explore other avenues to improve on their revenue generation drive.

The governor said more funds would enhance the government’s efforts at providing amenities to the people of the state.

Dakingari said improved infrastructure in the state would place the state in a position to attract foreign investors.

He said that in the face of limited allocation to the state from the Federation Account, it had become imperative for the Board to be innovative in its activities.

Dakingari reassure the people that all the projects initiated by his administration would be completed before its tenure terminates in 2015. (NAN)
