Nigerian forward, Abiola Dauda scored for Dutch club, Vitesse on match day 14 to increase his goal tally for the season to six.
The 26-year-old netted in the 50th minute of Vitesse’s 2-2 draw against Go Ahead Eagles at GelreDome (Arnhem).
He displayed lightening reactions to prod home from close range after his teammate, Davy Pröpper, scoffed his effort from just inside the box.
Dauda’s six goals have come in just four matches this season.
He opened his goal account for Vitesse on September 14 with a well-taken hat-trick against Excelsior at Gelre Dome and followed it up with his fourth league strike of the campaign against Dordrecht 13 days later.
Dauda got in on the act with his sixth league goal of the season against Willem II on October 18 before experiencing a goal drought that lasted almost two months.
He then had the fans of FC Hollywood aan de Rijn heaving a collective sigh of relief when he finally broke his goal scoring duck at the weekend against Go Ahead Eagles.
The attacker spent four seasons at Swedish club Kalmar between 2008 and 2012 before proceeding to Serbian outfit Crvena Zvezda where he played for two seasons.
Dauda, who has never been capped by Nigeria at any level, has now scored 54 league goals in his career. (supersport.com)
