ABUJA – Dr Daniel Maddo, a delegate at the National Conference, has urged President Goodluck Jonathan to send a bill to the National Assembly (NASS) to give effect to the decisions of the conference.
Maddo, who represents North East, while said this while commenting on the president‘s speech at the inauguration of the conference.
He said the passage of an executive bill was expedient.
“I urge Mr President to quickly send an executive bill to the National Assembly. This bill should not only be passed but must be passed expeditiously.
“That way it will give effect to the result of our deliberations. That way, money spent and time spent here will not be in vain and that way, we may not need to gather Nigerians again for such a conference.
“It will equally allay the fears of the Nigerian public on the intentions of the conference,” he said.
