The Delta Head of Service, Mr Okey Ofili, on Thursday urged public servants in the country to ensure integrity in their work places.
The Head of Service said that the virtue was a necessity for excelling in one’s career.
Ofili, who made the call in Asaba, at the first Annual Lecture organised by a group known as Delta Integrity Front, noted that integrity would go a long way in reducing corruption in society.
He said that integrity at work places was the bedrock of achievement.

According to him, in various work places, men and women of repute were the best choices for every organisation.
Ofili stressed the need for employers to have integrity in dealings with their employees, adding that this would also help to promote productivity at work places.
“This could be demonstrated through the regular payment of workers’ salaries, improved welfare packages for staff among other things,’’ he added.
Ofili however said that though the virtue was vital in work places, there were some challenges that could hinder integrity.
According to him, anonymity of the employer in the public service was a challenge to integrity.
He advised against public office holders working with their relations in same offices, saying that it hampered service delivery.
Ofili commended the members of Delta Integrity Front for their initiative, and assured them of his support in ensuring that the objectives of the organisation were achieved.
