Delta records N118.1bn revenue in 9 months

Asaba  – Olorogun David Edevbie  Delta Commissioner for Finance, says the state realised N118.1billion revenue between January and September 2016.

He spoke on Monday in Asaba at a ministerial press briefing organised by the Ministry of Information.

The commissioner said that the amount represented an aggregate decrease of N33.9billion compared to N152.1billion recorded during corresponding period last year.

He also said that out of the N118.1billion; N61.6billion came from statutory allocation as against the estimate of N91.9billion.

Emu also said that N29.9billion was realised as Internally Generated Revenue (IGR), adding that the amount was against the projected estimate of N50.2billion.

“On the other hand, the sum of N3.5billion was received from other capital receipts as against the proportionate budget of N29.7billion.

“The sum of N15.8billon was recorded as unspent funds from the 2015 budget,’’ he said.

On revenue performance, the commissioner noted that the revenue performance for 2015 was higher than that of 2016, adding that the statutory allocation was mostly affected by a large decrease.
