ABUJA (Sundiata Post) – The Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives, Mr Benjamin Kalu has condemned the recent killings in Plateau by gunmen.
Reports that gunmen recently invaded Ruwi, Hurti, and Tadai communities in Bokkos Local Government Area of the State.
As well as Manguna and Dafo villages, launching brutal attacks on many homes and families.
This is contained in a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Deputy Speaker, Chief Levinus Nwabughiogu, in Abuja on Sunday.
Kalu expressed deep concern and outrage over the attacks, emphasising that such wanton killings and bloodletting were unacceptable and should be condemned by every patriotic Nigerian.
He, however welcomed President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to apprehending the perpetrators and bringing them to justice.
Kalu assured the President of the Parliament’s unwavering support in this endeavour.
The Deputy Speaker extended his heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims, Gov. Calab Mutfwang, and the entire people of Plateau over the unhealthy development.
He urged the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and other relevant agencies of government to urgently provide relief items to those affected by the attacks.
Kalu also emphasised the need for swift action to alleviate the suffering of the victims. (NAN)
