The recent article regarding Nigerian singer and politician Banky W and his former signee Niyola has been proven to be untrue.
On Saturday, June 24, there were reports circulating online claiming that Banky W had cheated on his wife, Adesua Etomi.
According to an Instagram blogger who first shared the news, Banky W was alleged to have impregnated his mistress and requested her to terminate the pregnancy.
However, she refused, citing that she had already terminated two previous pregnancies for him in the past.
The blog post also claimed that the singer had been involved with this mistress even before his marriage to Adesua Etomi, and the relationship continued afterwards as well.
The news quickly spread on Twitter, and many users expressed their shock over the allegations, particularly because Banky W and Adesua often shared their affectionate moments on social media.
Numerous fans also prayed and hoped that the accusations would prove to be false.
In the midst of this social media frenzy, Banky W took to his Instagram page to invite his followers and fans to a church program focused on overcoming pornography.
In his post, he wrote, “Join us in church tomorrow. It’s the Series Finale. Excited to conclude ‘The Road to Freedom’ series with @bankywellington this Sunday. We will break the chains of pornography through the power of the word. Bring someone along. Jesus is Lord.”
To gain more clarity on the situation, a close source within the couple’s family was contacted, and they confirmed that the report was false. The source emphasized that similar rumors had been circulating on the internet since the previous year.
The couple’s spokesperson further stated, “These allegations are baseless and unfounded. They have been circulating as rumors for quite some time now, and we can assure you that there is no truth to them.”
