ABUJA (Sundiata Post) – The former Governor of Delta State, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, has been named in the ongoing Diezani-Allison Madueke $115million scandal with Fidelity Bank Plc to the tune of N450million.

According to the EFCC sources, the said money was received by the Delta State Commissioner of Finance, Chief David Edevbie, the former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chairman of the State, Chief Edwin Uzor and former member of House of Representatives, Hon. Ndidi Elumelu.

The sources said that the suspects had in their statement made at the Commission’s office in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, confessed to have collected the sum of N450m from the Nnebisi, Delta State branch of Fidelity Bank.

The said sum, according to them, was allegedly handed over to Uduaghan for  disbursment to the local governments during the 2015 general elections.

“According to them, they acted on the instructions of their boss, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan who ordered them to receive the money from the Bank,” the source said.

The EFCC said that the suspects will soon be arraigned in court as soon as investigations are completed.
