The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has warned petrol marketers not to expose Nigerians to untold hardship by creating artificial scarcity of Premium Motor Spirit (petrol).
Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs Division of NNPC, Dr. Kennie Obateru in a statement released on Thursday February 18, assured consumers that in spite of the rise in the price of crude oil in the international market, it has ruled out the possibility of any increment in February.
Obateru said the “decision was to allow ongoing engagements with organized labour and other stakeholders on an acceptable framework that will not expose the ordinary Nigerian to any hardship, to be concluded”.
