AKURE (SUNDIATA POST)- In a significant move to bolster women’s representation and advocacy in Ondo State, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has officially sworn in Dr. Seun Osamaya as the Special Adviser on Women Affairs.

This appointment demonstrates the Governor’s dedication to ensuring the advancement and welfare of women in the state as well as reflects his administration’s commitment to gender equality and inclusion.

The ceremony, which held at the Government House in Akure, was attended by high-ranking government officials, women’s groups, and community leaders.

Governor Aiyedatiwa, in his address, emphasized the critical role of the Special Adviser on Women Affairs in shaping policies that support and empower women. “Dr. Osamaya’s appointment reflects our administration’s commitment to ensuring that the voices of women are heard and that their contributions to society are recognized and supported,” he stated.

“As we look towards the future, we are confident that Dr Seun Osamaye will work tirelessly to address the challenges faced by women in Ondo state and create opportunities for their growth and development, the governor added.

Recall that Dr Seun Osamaye, a grassroot mobiliser, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her new role, and her passion for empowering women will undoubtedly make a significant impact in Ondo State.

In her response, Dr Seun Osamaye thanked and appreciates Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa for the confidence reposed in her and the opportunity to serve the people of Ondo State.

Dr. Osamaya, a distinguished advocate for women’s rights and gender equality, brings a wealth of experience to the position. As a grassroot mobiliser, she has been at the forefront of initiatives aimed at improving the welfare and status of women in the state.

Dr. Osamaya expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to serve and outlined her vision for her tenure. “I am honored to take on this role and look forward to working with various stakeholders to address the challenges facing women in Ondo State.
