“The accused sneaked into the C & S Church when the worshippers were praying and stole nine phones.
“He later moved to the CAC and stole six phones,” he alleged.
Unah said the accused was arrested when he was about scaling the fence of the CAC with the stolen items.
“The security guard sighted him and raised an alarm and Jimoh was arrested.
“When he was searched, the phones were found on him.
“The accused confessed to have stolen the handsets from the two churches on the same street,” he said.
Unah said the offence contravened Section 285 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.
Section 285 provides that if convicted, the accused is liable to three years imprisonment. (NAN)
