Contrary to our earlier report supersport.com can now relay that the Nigeria Football Federation [NFF] and Stephen Keshi are yet to conclude negotiations over a proposed contract for the latter.
Keshi’s representative and brother, Emmanuel Ado, informed supersport.com that the football federation has only sent his client a copy of the contract proposal.
Ado, however, disclosed that negotiation with the NFF will hold in Abuja on Wednesday.
“I want to state it clearly to you that my brother has not reached an agreement with the NFF yet. I am meeting with the NFF today on behalf of the Big Boss [Keshi] at about 1pm,” Ado told supersport.com on Wednesday.[eap_ad_2]
Earlier on Wednesday, Keshi’s representative had issued a statement disclaiming words from the NFF that the former Nigeria captain will sign a new contract this week.
“Statements credited to Mr Emeka Inyama that arrangements have finalised for him [Keshi] to sign a new contract are misleading,” part of the media release from Keshi’s camp read.
But Ado opted to keep details of the contract proposal from the NFF to Keshi close to his chest though reports suggest the monthly pay proposed to the former Mali and Togo manager still remains at the N5 million he earned during his time between 2011 and 2014.
Keshi in his first stint as the Super Eagles manager won the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations and guided Nigeria to a second round finish at the 2014 Fifa World Cup finals in Brazil. (supersport.com)[eap_ad_3]
