Golden Eaglets coach Emmanuel Amuneke will get a chance to test some of the players he has selected when his team take part in the WAFU U-17 tournament later in the month.
Nigeria have been invited to take part in the six-nation tourney taking place in Togo between April 19 and 27.
The Eaglets have been placed in Group B alongside Niger Republica and Mali, while Benin, Ivory Coast and host nation Togo have been paired in Group A.
Amunike, who is expected to name a 30-man squad for the tournament shortly, revealed that participation in the competition will not bring the screening of players to an end.
He stated that the exercise, whose current phase comes to an end this weekend, will resume immediately after the competition.
“Of course, we are going to give opportunity to others even after the tournament in Togo. Nothing is conclusive yet as we build towards the African qualifiers,” said Amuneke. (kickoffnigeria)
