This is contained in his Easter message signed and made available to newsmen by Mr Hakeem Bello, the governor’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity.
“I hope their sacrifices and supplications during the period will be rewarded and in a sense, I think God has answered those prayers with the peaceful elections we just had.
“I hope and believe the next elections will be equally peaceful and the results will count,” he added.
The governor urged residents of the state to renew their commitment to peaceful co-existence, as they celebrate Easter.
The message admonished residents of the state to be their brothers’ keepers at Easter, which symbolises sacrifice, and urged residents to demonstrate this virtue during the season and beyond.
“I wish our brothers and sisters a happy Easter season and I hope the lessons of Easter will endure beyond the season of Lent. (NAN)
