ABUJA – An Educationalist, Mr Iyola Fadiya, on Saturday commended the Federal Government’s quick response to combat Ebola virus disease outbreak in the country.
Fadiya told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja the Federal and the Lagos State government took proactive steps to stop the virus from spreading.
He said that government had actually done well to create awareness on the virus as well as providing the needful to fight the disease.[eap_ad_2]
According to him, other states and local governments in the country should intensify efforts in their preventive measures against the deadly disease.
He also urged the stakeholders, non-governmental organisation and international bodies to assist in addressing the plague in West Africa.
Also, Mrs Nike Aluko, an environmentalist, told NAN that the Federal Government should be applauded for the steps taken so far in tackling Ebola Virus Disease in Nigeria.
Aluko, however, said that much still needed to be done to prevent the disease from spreading to all parts of the country.
He appreciated the World Health Organisation (WHO) for its strategy plan to combat Ebola virus in the West Africa over the next six to nine months. (NAN)[eap_ad_3]
