The Peoples Democratic Party has taken Esan North East Local Government Area, the result collated by the Independent National Electoral Commission has shown.
The PDP and the All Progressives Congress and their candidates, incumbent Godwin Obaseki and Osagie Ize-Iyamu respectively, are the leading candidates in the poll conducted on Sunday.
While the APC got 415 votes, the PDP polled 897 votes.
