ABUJA – Gov. Adams Oshiomhole of Edo on Friday commended the Inspector-General of Police, Mr Solomon Arase, for the steps he had taken to address security challenge in the state.
A statement by the Force Public Relations Officer, CP Emmanuel Ojukwu, said the governor gave the commendation when he visited the I-G.
Oshiomhole noted that steps taken by Arase since assumption of duty in addressing security situation in Edo and other states with security challenges were already being felt nationwide.
He promised to partner with the police in the area of logistics and integrate its safer High-Way patrols into state operation Tunder-Storm.

Responding, Arase reassured the governor and the country of his commitment to advance security and ensure that policemen exhibit highest ethical standards in the performance of their duties. (NAN)
