EFCC Confirms Attacks On Website

Following the recent tempering of websites in the country by the group, Anonymous, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has disclosed that there were attempts to breach its website.

Anonymous, a legion of hackers, had claimed for hitting the agency’s platform.


The group also tempered with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) website and threatened to target .

The anonymous group their actions are in support of the EndSARS protests in the country.

EFCC, however, assured that its website not hacked.


On , Wilson Uwujaren, EFCC Head of Media, noted that the compromise efforts were recorded the weekend.

The spokesman blamed “cybercriminals” for a near breach of its privacy.

Uwujaren said the attempts were successfully repelled and that the website “is up and running”.
