BIRNIWA – A lawmaker, Alhaji Musa Hassan, on Saturday donated food and clothing materials worth N890,000 to members of his constituency to enable them celebrate the Eid-El-Fitr.
Hassan (PDP), representing Birniwa constituency in the state Assembly donated the items to widows, orphans, PDP supporters and women groups, among other beneficiaries.
Speaking at the occasion, he said that the gesture was to support the needy and improve the well- being of the electorate.[eap_ad_1]
In his remarks, the Chairman of Birniwa Local Government Coucil, Alhaji Bundai Burra, commended the lawmaker for his gesture, adding that it would promote cordial relation and understanding between the electorate and political office holders.
Bundai urged the party executives to be fair and just in the distribution exercise.
Meanwhile, a Jigawa-based NGO, Kirbobo Development Association, also donated food items worth over N340, 000 to the orphanage centre in Hadejia. (NAN)[eap_ad_4]
