KANO – The Igbo Community Association in Kano State on Friday called on Muslims to use the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir to pray for sustainable peace in the country.
This is contained in a Sallah message signed by the association’s chairman, the Onyendu Ndigbo of Kano, Chief John Nnaji, issued in Kano.
The statement also called on Muslims to always reflect on the spirit of the festive period which focused on sacrifice.
It urged Nigerians to foster unity, to enhance peaceful coexistence for economic growth and developmental in the country. It also called on leaders in the country to exhibit the fear of God in the discharge of their duties while urging the people to support their leaders with prayers.
