IKEJA – Gov. Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State on Friday advised all Nigerians to love one another and imbibe the virtues of humility and sacrifice.

In his Eid-el Maolud message to residents, the governor said it would be through these virtues that we could stand together and build an indivisible nation.

He said the life and times of Prophet Muhammed were repleted with lessons of sacrifice, service and humility.

He urged both leaders and the followers of the faith to be guided by the desire for a better nation.
“The virtues of service and exemplary leadership, as demonstrated by the Holy Prophet, should guide leaders to give their all in the overall interest of the society, “he said.

While wishing all Muslims a happy Maolud Nabiyy celebration, Fashola urged citizens to always support government, pray for the progress of the nation and successful conduct of the forthcoming general elections.
