Akure – The National Orientation Agency (NOA), Ondo State chapter, has urged the Muslim faithful in the state to celebrate this year’s Eid-el-Maulud by offering prayers for the unity of the country and show respect and love for one another.
Mr Bode Famose, State Director, NOA, Indoor said this in a press statement on Tuesday in Akure.
Famose admonished Muslim faithful across the state to celebrate the birth of the Holy Prophet Mohammed (SAW) with the less privileged and the needy in order to give hope to the hopeless and life to those who were forsaken.
The NOA boss, therefore, called on the people of the state to continue to support government activities and programmes designed to alleviate the long hardship and poverty from the society.
He stressed that only this could guarantee social stability, economic progression and infrastructural development.
Famose, who advocated peaceful coexistence among the people of the state and Nigeria at large, regardless of religious beliefs or ideology, therefore wished the Muslim faithful happy Eid-el-Maulud celebration.
