Ado-Ekiti- Ekiti State Football Association, on Sunday in Ado-Ekiti elected new executive committee, with Mr Ayodeji Alabi and Mr Amos Ariyo, as the chairman and vice chairman, respectively.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Alabi polled 16 votes to defeat the former chairman, Dr Isaac Ayodele, who had three votes.
The vice chairman got 16 votes to defeat Mr Olu Oloworemo, who had three votes.
Sixteen delegates, drawn from the 16 local government areas of the state, in addition to three delegates each from the state chapter of the Nigerian Football Supporters Club, Ekiti Referees Association and Nigerian Coaches Association, took part in the election.

The election took place at the Ekiti State Health Data Bank.
In his speech, Mr Dele Ajayi, who represented the Nigerian Football Association (NFA), charged the newly elected members to work hard to develop football in Ekiti.
“I can assure the newly elected executive and the members that Nigeria Football Association (NFA) will give adequate support to the board.
“NFA is prepared to develop grassroots sports in all the states of the federation;” Ajayi said.
Also speaking, the new chairman promised to revive football at the grassroots and state level.
“My administration will focus on youth development, using football to engage them.
“Currently, not all the youths in the country have the opportunity to go to school but football has helped many of them to discover their talent,” he said.
