The General Manager of the State Sports Council, Mr Olukayode Adewunmi, made the call in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
Adewunmi said the council organised daily training sessions for the state’s contingent to keep them fit ahead of the games, scheduled to kick off in Abuja on Dec. 5.
According to him, the state representatives will participate in 13 games which include Volleyball, Table Tennis, Basketball, Lawn Tennis, Football, Athletics, Handball, Long Jump and High Jump.
The general manager lauded the support of the state government for the competition, and urged the representatives of the state to exercise caution as they trained in order not to sustain injury.
