Election 2015: Don urges INEC, parties to undertake more sensitisation of voters

SOKOTO – Dr Sule Kano,  a Lecturer at the Usman Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, has called on INEC, political parties and other stakeholders to carry out proper voter education for a credible general elections in 2015.
Kano, Head of Political Science Department, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Sokoto that proper sensitation of the electorate would enable them to cast their votes according to their conscience.
He said such attitude would usher in good democratic leadership that would address  the yearnings and aspirations of Nigerians.
The lecturer said, “only leaders elected by the electorate through credible elections would ensure good governance”.
He challenged  INEC to meet the expectations  of Nigerians  by educating eligible electorate  on the electoral processes.
The lecturer called on politicians  to play responsible politics that would pave the way for smooth  conduct of  free, fair and credible elections.
He also called on leaders of political parties to do more in promoting political tolerance and understanding.
He called on parents  to be more responsive by sensitising their wards against engaging  in all forms  of violence.  ( NAN)
