Election: Atiku wins in Bayelsa

YENAGOA (Sundiata Post) – The presidential candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has won Bayelsa State in the result of the presidential election announced in Yenagoa at about 11:45pm on Monday.

Atiku defeated the candidates of Labour Party (LP), Dr. Peter Obi and All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who came second and third respectively.

Announcing the results, the State Collation Officer and Vice Chancellor, University of Benin, Prof. Lilian Salami, said Atiku polled a total of 68,818 votes to win Bayelsa State.

Obi scored 49,975 votes to come second while Tinubu came third with 42,572 votes.
