If I am unfaithful to my wife and sleeping around, the morality of castigating me does not lie with the man who impregnated his sister-in-law. This is why I found it so bemusing and amusing the interest of APC and its sympathisers in the just concluded elective onvention of the party’s Siamese twin, PDP.
It is only a FOOL that will still believe there is a difference between the two parties. In terms of chicanery, lies and internal dysfunctionality, APC is even worse than PDP.
A Buharist on my wall, one Lawrence PG, even asked what I made of the PDP Convention as dollars were shared. Bolaji Abdullahi took it to a ridiculous level when he said the South-west was being punished for supporting his party in 2015.
I can’t laugh.
On dollars, no Buhari supporter, including the man himself, has any moral right to talk. On December 11, 2014, during the convention that produced him as presidential candidate, dollars were being shared on his behalf when Atiku seemed to be coasting home. Buhari, through his handlers, gave $5000 to each delegate. It was reported in virtually all the major newspapers the following day. They were even more brazen about it than PDP!
Article 25 (A)(i) of the APC states: “the National Convention of the party shall be held once in two years at a date, venue and time to be recommended by the National Working Committee and approved by the National Executive Committee subject to the giving of the statutory notices to the Independent National Electoral Commission and at least 14 days notice given to members eligible to attend.”
APC should tell Nigerians why it has not held any elective convention in almost FIVE years! Something it supposed to do every two years. That’s why I like the way Kola Ologbondiyan responded to them yesterday.
APC (and its sympathisers) should hold its own elective convention and let’s see how good it would be and stop spiting around for the pregnancy of PDP. It should let her sister in crime carry her own pregnancy in peace.
Or go carry your own belle.
