Super Eagles hit man, Emmanuel Emenike has dispelled news that the camp of the Eagles was divided going into this must-win match as it was well reported that he had a fight with Mikel Obi even before the first match against Iran.
“The unity is still there. I think the first few seconds after the Iran game, the spirit in the changing room was a little bit low, but now, seeing it yesterday and today, even in training, everyone is fighting,” Emenike told fifa.com.
He added that team captains – Joseph Yobo and Vincent Enyeama had helped to restore the balance that the team needs.
“They always speak to us and try to advise us, especially Yobo as the captain.”
“[Yobo] is always trying to speak to the players, [letting us know the Iran result] was not the end of the world. Because we could go out there and beat Bosnia and still go through.
Emenike concluded with a vow that he would always defend the colours of Nigeria with all his strength.
“I always try to prove myself and to be there, to play for Nigeria because I play for the badge. I play for the people back home, who are watching us on the screen. That is all I can say,” he added.
