Suleja (Niger) – The Emir of Suleja, Niger, Alhaji Auwal Ibrahim, says Nigerians should imbibe the culture of praying for their leaders at all times, especially when they are confronted with health challenges.
The emir told the News Agency of Nigeria ( NAN) on Tuesday in Suleja that President Muhammadu Buhari needed Nigerians’ prayers to enable him to recover quickly and return safely.
He gave the assurance that religious leaders in the emirate would not relent in their prayers for God’s special intervention in President Buhari’s health challenges.
“We will continue to mobilise our religious leaders to also pray for God’s guidance on our leaders to achieve the desired development in our country.”
“Nigerians should set aside political and religious differences and pray fervently to God for quick recovery of President Buhari.”
He said that prayers by the public would pave the way for good governance that Nigerians yearned for.
According to him, with fervent prayers, Nigerians can overcome the present economic challenges.
“ We must always pray to God to grant our leaders His grace and wisdom to steer well the affairs of our nation,” he said.
