KADUNA- The Emir of Jema’a, Alh. Muhammadu Muhammadu, on Sunday, praised the people of Kafanchan for their commitment to peaceful coexistence.
He gave the commendation during the annual breaking of fast in Kafanchan, Jema’a Local Government Area.
The Emir noted that followers of Islam and Christianity had firmly resolved to continue living together in peace and mutual respect.
He further urged believers to remain devoted to God, particularly throughout the 2025 fasting period, maintaining steadfastness in their faith.
The royal father appreciated President Bola Tinubu, Gov. Uba Sani, and local lawmakers for supporting the establishment of key federal institutions in the area.
These include the Federal University of Applied Sciences, Kachia, and the Federal Medical Centre, Kafanchan, saying both are significant for regional development.
Mr Peter Tanko, Chairman of the Local Government, thanked the Emir for promoting peace and unity among residents of the area.
Tanko added that his administration would build upon this peace to implement projects that directly benefit the people of Jema’a.
Venerable Emmanuel Markus, CAN Chairman in Jema’a, applauded the Emir’s inclusive leadership, which embraces all, regardless of religious beliefs.
Markus encouraged other stakeholders in the zone to emulate the Emir’s unifying approach to leadership.
Alh. Abubakar Hassan, JNI Chairman for Jema’a, said the event demonstrated the unity and peace present in Southern Kaduna.
He called on the governor to complete ongoing projects in the area to accelerate development and improve residents’ welfare. (NAN)
