Daura – The Daura Emirate Council in Katsina State on Saturday turbarned six additional village heads for Sandamu and Mai’adua local government areas of the state.
The Emir of Daura, Alhaji Umar Farouk, who performed the exercise, called on the newly-appointed village heads to lead their subjects with commitment, dedication and fear of God and posterity.
“Justice is the cardinal principle of good leadership because we will account for our deeds before the almighty Allah.
“The decision to appoint additional village heads is to ensure wider coverage of my domain and ensure security of the life and property of my subjects.
“I call on the people of the newly-created village heads to cooperate with their leaders for progress and development of their communities,’’ he said.
Farouk cautioned Nigerians against inflammatory comments that could cause disharmony and disunity.
“As traditional rulers we will continue to uphold the sanctity of our religion and cultural heritage,’’ he added.
The village heads are Alhaji Sani-Na Affa of Sandamu West; Haruna Danladi Dotarga; Naziru Bako, Katsayel Fulani; Sale Abdulmumini Fulanin Kudu in Sandamu Local Government Area.
Others are Abdullahi Gali of Yarima Jatau, Rabe Gali of Guzu district and Sani Dahiru as praise singer to the Emir.
