Birnin Kebbi – The Emir of Gwandu, Alhaji Muhammadu Bashar, has charged the Kaduna Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO), to improve on its service delivery, and step up enlightenment campaigns to consumers in the state.
Bashar gave the advice when the newly appointed Area Manager of KEDCO, Malam Abdulwahab Suleiman, paid him a courtesy visit on Sunday, at his palace in Birnin Kebbi.
Bashar said: “There is need for you to improve in the area of service delivery and ensure good and effective electricity supply in the state.’’
He also advised the company’s management to embark on enlightenment campaign on their business activities in the state.
The Royal Father wished Suleiman a successful stay in the state and prayed for him for Allah’s guidance in the discharge of his mandate.
In a related development, The Emir of Argungu, Alhaji Muhammad Mera, charged KEDCO to improve its services in the state, when the area manager also visited him at his palace in Argungu.
Mera assured Suleiman of his royal blessing to enable him succeed at his assignment.
In his response to the monarchs, Suleiman said he was at the palaces to introduce himself as the new Area Manager of KEDCO, Kebbi Area Office; and also to seek for their Royal blessings.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), reports that the area manager was on a familiarisation tour of Gwandu and Argungu emirates in the state.
