BAUCHI – The Emir Bauchi, Alhaji Rulwanu Adamu, has called the to participate de-silting culverts and drains the state capital, to avert flood during the rainy .

Adamu made the call Thursday Bauchi during the official ceremony the exercise.

He said that the exercise would the spread of diseases and warned against using instruments that could injure participants.

Adamu, represented by the District Head of Burinji, Alhaji Yakubu Umar, commended Environmental Agency (BASEPA) for conducting the exercise all the 20 local areas of the state.

He called traditional and religious leaders to enlighten their subjects the significance of the monthly environmental .

The Permanent Secretary of BASEPA, Alhaji Waziri Jalam, assured the of quick evacuation of the garbage.

Jalam commended the of Mallam-Goje, Yelwa, Kofar Mai and Bakin-Kowa quarters for participating in all activities initiated by the agency and urged to emulate same. (NAN)
