EndSARS: Lagos shuts schools as tension rises over protests

LAGOS – The Government has directed all pupils/ public and private schools to stay at home following the tension generated by the anti- protests.

Commissioner for , Mrs Folasade Adefisayo, who issued the directive on , said the safety the pupils/, and all staff working schools was paramount at this critical period.

She, however, advised to keep an eye on wards and allow them to be used as willing tools the hands those who might want to hijack the protests to unleash mayhem on the society.

The commissioner also encouraged schools to utilise other means distance teaching and learning such as radio, television and online as they were doing during and post COVID-19 .

According to Adefisayo, a new date of resumption for all classes will be announced as soon as possible. (NAN)
