Enugu election: PDP Wins Uzo-Uwani LG

The Peoples Democratic Party’s Candidate for Uzo Uwani Constituency, Enugu State House of Assembly, Hon. Chukwuma Martins Ekwueme, has been declared winner of the State Assembly election.

Announcing the result, the collation officer said Ekwueme of the PDP won the state Assembly seat with 6,846 votes to defeat his closest rival, the Labour Party Candidate who polled a total of 5,265 votes.

“Chukwuma Martins Ekwueme, having satisfied the requirements of the law is hereby returned elected,” the returning officer declared.

APGA got 293 votes, NNPP 062 votes, NRM 18 votes, SDP 1 vote, PRP 4 votes, YPP 55 votes.

For the governorship election, the PDP also won the local government with 7,299 votes while the Labour Party came second with 5,257 votes. The APC is 3rd with 1,019 votes while APGA garnered 169 votes.
