Abuja (Sundiata Post) – One of the leading aspirants for the Enugu State governorship race and the former Vice Chancellor of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike, (MOUAU) Professor Hillary Edeoga was at the weekend honoured with a Chieftaincy tittle of Ojide Onye Ibe One of Ohom Orba Ancient Kingdom.
The tittle which means “one who shares what he has with others” was conferred on him by his Royal Highness, Igwe Everestus Onah, the Uchenna One of Ohom Orba in Udenu Local Government of Enugu State.
Professor Edeoga, according to the lgwe was being honoured for his outstanding contributions to human capital developments and humanitarian services within Enugu State and beyond.
He described Professor Edeoga as a shinning example of what leadership represents adding that his performance as the Vice Chancellor at Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, Abia State would remain a reference mark for years to come.
Professor Edeoga who expressed appreciation to the Igwe and the entire people of Ohom Kingdom said he was humbled by the honour done to him and promised to do more for humanity.
He further stressed that God has been so kind to him such that he has decided to rededicate the rest of his life to the service of humanity adding that it was such desire that has propelled him to run for the governorship of Enugu State.
He praised Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi who also graced the occasion for his uncommon commitment to the peace and well-being of Enugu State stressing that he would build on the standard the Governor has set to take the State to the next level if voted into power.
