Abuja (Sundiata Post) – A former National President, Youth Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria, (YOWICAN), and Co-Chairman of the Interfaith Coalition Conference, Engr. Daniel Kadzai, has advised former Governor el-Rufai to focus on his EFCC case before attacking President Tinubu on lopsided appointments into his cabinet.
Kadzai threatened that if the former Kaduna State Governor did not stop his hypocritical comments, he would be forced to dig out more implicating acts committed by el-Rufai while he was still a governor.
He joined Nigerians to ask el-Rufai that if the National Assembly had cleared him as Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, would he have commented on the lopsided appointments?
Recall a Nigerian-American writer Farooq Kperogi who alleged a plot by President Tinubu to replace the head of NNPCL with yet another Yoruba man. Responding, el-Rufai asked Mr Tinubu to stop being arrogant, urging the President against politics of exclusion.
“Two wrongs do not make a right. Sensible inclusion always trumps arrogant exclusion,” the ex-governor wrote on X last Saturday, slamming Tinubu for loading key federal positions with his Yoruba kinsmen.
Responding in the New Year however, Kadzai said el-Rufai kept silent about the nepotistic appointments under former President Muhammadu Buhari, warning that if the former governor did not shut his trap, more evidence of his shameful deeds as governor, will be made public.
According to him: “There were people who were silent when Buhari was fielding political offices with his kinsmen and have found their voice to speak out when the equation doesn’t favour them”, Kadzai said.
The Scribe-man further alleged that Mr el-Rufai’s administration marginalised Southern Kaduna, adding that the former governor made life unbearable to many people during his two-term reign.
“Let’s not make reference to the nepotism that marginalised Southern Kaduna for eight years. Kaduna was an apartheid state for eight years,” Kadzai noted.
Our correspondent reports that el-Rufai’s administration was criticised for promoting division and inequality.
One of the controversies surrounding his administration was his discrimination against Christians in Kaduna. In a viral video last year, el-Rufai admitted he did not give Christians key positions in his government because they did not vote for him, our reporter said.
