Abuja (Sundiata Post) – A former National President, Youth Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria, (YOWICAN), and Co-Chairman of the Interfaith Coalition Conference, Engr. Daniel Kadzai, has celebrated the United States of America for discharging and exonerating the Chief Executive Officer, Air Peace, Chief Allen Onyema from the fraud allegations leveled against him.
Kadzai said though it took several years for Onyema to get justice, but noted that the Air Peace boss demonstrated strong character while the case lasted.
He tongue lashed those calling for Onyema’s head during the period, describing them as unpatriotic Nigerians who wait for every opportunity to run down their own countrymen who are doing legitimately well to contribute to the development of the country.
Kadzai recalled many sacrifices the Air Peace boss has rendered to the country during difficult times, calling on citizens to stop criticizing Onyema and everyone who means well for the country but to support them for a better harnessing of their philanthropic gesture to their father land.
He reminded Nigerians that during the crisis in different parts of the world, Onyema has evacuated stranded Nigerians entrapped in those countries.
“During the COVID period Air Peace evacuated Nigerians free of charge from Thailand, Malaysia and India. Also during the crisis in Sudan and xenophobia in South Africa, Onyema extended the same gesture. He spent millions of dollars to achieve this despite the fact that we have the Ministry of foreign affairs saddled with such responsibilities”, he said.
It would be recalled that a few days back, the District Court in Atlanta, Georgia finally exonerated Allen Onyema of any business fraud.
The court, after three years of investigation, discovered that there was no loss against any bank in the indictment suit filed by the Attorney for the Northern District of Georgia, however, ordered a probation and $4000 fine against a former staff of Springfield Aviation Company Inc., Ebony Mayfield on Friday.
