Bonaventure Enemali, a former commissioner for lands and youth in Anambra State, has left the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) to join the All Progressives Congress (APC).
According to Naija News, Enemali made his defection public during a political event in Nzam, his hometown. At the event, he pledged full support for the APC’s governorship candidate, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, whom he described as a visionary leader with the ability to bring positive change to Anambra.
Enemali said his decision was based on a commitment to good leadership, accountability, and inclusive governance. He added that he strongly believes Prince Ukachukwu’s candidacy under the APC will lead to lasting development in the state.
“This is not just a political move. It is a decision rooted in deep conviction and the desire to see our state truly prosper. I also express my unreserved support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election in 2027,” Enemali said.
His move to the APC is seen as a major boost for the party ahead of the November 2025 governorship election in Anambra. With his background in governance and strong ties at the grassroots level, Enemali is expected to play a key role in strengthening the APC’s campaign across the state.
Leaders of the APC in Anambra welcomed him into the party, expressing hope that more influential politicians will join the movement to bring meaningful change to the state’s political space.
