Former Director-General of the the NAFDAC and ex minister of Information, Professor Dora Akunyili has reportedly died.
According to SaharaReporters, Prof. Akunyili died this morning in an Indian hospital where she had been receiving treatment for an undisclosed ailment.
There is yet to be an official statement on this sad story but when SundiataPOST called Isaac Umunna, Akunyili’s media aide, he was ambivalent, saying that he would neither confirm nor deny the story till he got clarification from Akunyili’s husband and other relations who were with her in the Indian hospital.
Dora Akunyili was aged 59.
