He will be contesting the 2026 election under the banner of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
As part of his preparations, Omoworare on Friday launched a three-man team tasked with rallying support across all 30 Local Government Areas in the state.
During the event where he announced his governorship ambition, his supporters and some APC leaders expressed confidence in his chances, noting that his popularity would be a strong advantage in the upcoming election.
Speaking to his supporters, Omoworare praised the members of the coordinating team and promised to deliver inclusive and people-focused leadership if elected.
